JATO introduces offering to detail used car data

Automotive data company JATO has launched VINView Pro, a product designed to meet the increasing demand for precise and comprehensive used vehicle information among fleet and leasing companies.

VINView Pro builds on JATO’s existing VINView, offering detailed build specifications for individual vehicles, including all fitted options and standard specifications.

Developed in collaboration with AutoGrab, VINView Pro leverages advanced machine learning and AI systems.

JATO’s technology partner AutoGrab contributed its expertise in automotive intelligence to enhance the product’s capabilities.

VINView Pro aims to resolve issues such as inaccurate vehicle data, which can lead to mispriced listings and incorrect insurance valuations.

JATO Dynamics head of retail Paul Hilton said: “We know from regular inquiries we receive that there is huge demand for accurate build specification for vehicles.

“To express it simply, we are obtaining complex factory data from OEMs, and putting it into more everyday language that businesses can use when sourcing or supplying vehicles.”

Besides fleet and leasing companies, online marketplaces, and retailers operate in the used car space.

By providing exact factory-fitted options and original pricing information, the solution hopes to eliminate guesswork and allows businesses to access accurate data through API integration.

JATO said the system offers transparency and accuracy for dealerships, insurers, and service providers, improving operations and risk management.

Insurers can assess vehicles based on their exact build configurations, leading to more precise underwriting and risk management.

Users can access VINView Pro via JATO’s Sales Link platform or an API.

By entering VIN numbers or VRM, users receive detailed data on fitted options, original pricing, and standard equipment, enhancing decision-making processes for businesses and customers alike.

Last month, JATO extended its two-decade alliance with Ayvens, a global leader in sustainable mobility, by renewing their long-term partnership.
